The Philosophy of Soulful Shift
The philosophy of soulful shift is a simple one. We are about supporting people to more deeply come home, to themselves, their homes, and their lives.
Our work is rooted in what we call the art of dwelling, which focuses on working with people and homes in a way that more fully supports them to dwell in them, as a deeper reflection of who they are.
This idea runs throughout all of our work, from our decluttering service, to our soulful move.
Everytime we work with a new client, we are asking, who is this person, and how does their home be created in a way that they can more fully belong in and be inspired by.
Our work comes from experience of working with various western, middle-eastern and eastern spiritual and creative traditions, and has come from extensive travel, learning, research and practice, of working soulfully and artfully with the rich and diverse matter, fabrics and textile of our world.
Ultimately, we want all of our clients that have a home that supports them to be more deeply connected with place, wit their lives, and with themselves.
Our founder Dom Bury, and all of our team, have an understanding of these principles.
About Our Founder
Dom Bury is an award-winning artist, poet, and creative entrepreneur. He has worked and curated shows, workshops and spaces for organisations such as Dartington Music School, Schumacher College, Craft Revolution, The Poetry School and other organisations.
His journey has taken him through arts institutions, cultural and ecological change organisations, spiritual spaces and centres, and to explore many corners of the Earth in search of what it means to be human at this moment of time in history.
Stemming from a period of illness in his early thirties in which he was almost house bound for two years, Dom is passionate about supporting people to more fully live their lives, and to curate and curate homes and lives of beauty, inspiration, depth and purpose.
He absolutely loves supporting clients to come more deeply home, to themselves, their lives, their homes, and the place where they live.
Dom lives just outside of London and has a home in Turkey, where he retreat to when in need of artistic space.
